Hello everyone, my dad has saved up a pretty decent amount of money as a carpenter throughout his life, upwards of 50k. He’s looking to retire within the next 10 to 15 years max. He has a pension so that when he retires he could basically live off that. That said, he’s asked me what I think he should do with the extra money he’s saved up.
I’m no investment expert aside from the little I’ve tinkered with on robinhood, coinbase, ect. I said I would get back to him once I’ve researched a little more. I’d love to get your recommendations on safe investments, high risk high rewards, etc. I appreciate any advice!! Thank you!

Has he taken advantage of tax advantaged retirement options? IRA or Roth IRA? Those are the vehicles and you can choose level of risk within those.
