So like the title says, I received a 1099-INT from my bank for a savings bond account interest. A few weird things…
1) it was sent to my old address that I changed over a year ago
2) I don’t have a savings bond account
I called my bank and they cannot find an account under my SSN that matches this, nor can they find an account with the number listed on the form. My bank is currently “looking into it”.
Any ideas? Is this a scam??
Did someone cash a savings bond issued to your name?
[www.treasurydirect.gov](https://www.treasurydirect.gov) is the entity that has information about cashing bonds. There is probably a phone number or email address available where you could ask a question about your situation.
“Savings bond account interest” means interest from a savings bond in your name redeemed at that bank, it’s not an “account” like a “checking account” or “savings account”.
This design is spectacular! You most certainly know how to keep a reader
entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job.
I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
Too cool!
Thank you, I have just been searching for information about this subject for ages and yours is the greatest I have found out so far.
However, what in regards to the bottom line?
Are you positive in regards to the supply?
