What to buy used and how much would be greatly appreciated. any advice would be awesome. Still super scared I won’t be able to save much.

Anything you can get used will save cash. I’d definitely wait a month or two before splurging on anything big because you have never had to pay rent and utilities before and the utility cost might surprise you. Just take it slow and buy only what you need. I spent several months on an inflatable mattress before buying a bed.
You can get pretty much everything you need used. Check out estate sales (google “estate sales in *your zip code*) where you can frequently find household items for pennies on the dollar. Even furniture is often very cheap.
My advice is to move in with minimal furniture, and live in the space for a few weeks before buying anything beyond the bare necessities. Starting with the “sad bachelor apartment” and then thoughtfully adding furniture will likely turn out better than guessing at what you might want before you move in.
Spending more money on higher quality items is good advice once you’ve settled down somewhat, but IMO in your 20’s you may be better served by furniture that you’re not afraid to throw away. If you end up moving 5 times in the next 10 years you might get tired of lugging that heavy, heirloom quality sofa all over creation. There’s something to be said for stuff you’re not afraid to leave on the curb with a “free” sign.
Used mattresses gross me out so I definitely won’t fault you for buying one new, or for sleeping on a futon.
Look in the area and get a feel for the normal prices, look at listings on Zillow, fb, Craigslist. Like a 1 bed 1 bath, get a feel for what they go for in the area you’re looking in so you know if something is a steal or not
